Avaiable to download below and on SITE page on this site

The Sharing Innovation in Teacher Education (SITE) project is one of a number funded by LSISas ITE Innovation Projects in late 2012.
The project was carried out by South West Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (SWCETT), which established a cross-sector team to identify and share Initial Teacher Education innovation in partnership with providers, employers and other organisations. It identified, piloted, evaluated and shared effective innovations and embedded them in a range of partners’ programmes to contribute sustainable solutions to the future of ITE.

The approach worked extremely well, and the project evaluation report will be published here in due course. As of now, we are delighted to share the resources from the project here.

These materials are all activities / resources for use in Initial Teacher Education in the Lifelong Learning sector, and have been used succsessfully in PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed and PGCE courses. They have also been used in CPD programmes. We'd be delighted if you would give them a try and there is an ongoing online evaluation questionnaire available for you and your trainees to contribute your evaluations. The materials are available as MS Word and PDF downloads, with supporting added resources and weblinks as appropriate.

You are welcome to adapt any of these materials freely.

The questionnaire is at: http://www.survey.bris.ac.uk/bathspa/siteproject

The project created an Innovation Catalogue of all the activities and resources, and the complete catalogue can be downloade from the link below, and the other innovations follow in sequence.

The activities are each based on the same template, and each activity is mapped to the Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) Professional standards for teachers, tutors and trainers in the lifelong learning sector.

The mapping is at domain level, as follows:
  • Domain A Professional values and practice
  • Domain B Learning and teaching
  • Domain C Specialist learning and teaching
  • Domain D Planning for learning
  • Domain E Assessment for learning
  • Domain F Access and progression

The domains are references at the start of each downloadable innovation.
